- New imaging facility at local private hospital to aid in reducing the region’s diagnostic waiting lists
Spire Little Aston Hospital has unveiled a newly installed Mammography suite, featuring a Mammography machine and Brevera Breast Biopsy System, following an £800,000 investment aimed at improving and supporting the hospital’s commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Mammography machines are designed to produce detailed X-ray images of the breast tissue, allowing clinicians to identify potential issues. Due to the new machines high resolution images, clinicians can diagnose and treat a range of conditions with greater accuracy and efficiency.
The Mammography machine has an improved comfort-focused design, helping to make the experience more positive for patients.
Designed as a dual-purpose facility, the new suite also features a Brevera Breast Biopsy System. This flexible setup allows the hospital to maximise clinical use of the space, reduce procedure time, and improve the overall patient experience.
The Brevera Breast Biopsy System is used to perform minimally invasive breast biopsies. It combines imaging, tissue sampling, and verification into a single procedure, making the biopsy quicker and more accurate. By simplifying the process, it can help patients feel more comfortable and allows consultants to provide faster, more precise diagnoses, reflecting the Sutton-Coldfield based hospital’s commitment to high-quality, outstanding care.
