I have run the Sexual Medicine Service in the Urology Department at Good Hope Hospital since 1994. I have written over 100 papers and three books and am a past President of the British Society of Sexual Medicine. I am currently on the Scientific Committee of the International Society of Sexual Medicine.
I trained in general medicine and primary care before specialising in sexual disorders for the last 20 years and I am actively involved in the latest research, running my own clinical research unit. I travel widely, lecturing at national and international meetings.
My major interest is the medical management of erectile dysfunction, embracing the hormonal, cardiological, urological and relationship issues. I have pioneered research into the role of testosterone in sexual function.
