Professional profile

After qualifying from Ain-Shams University in Cairo, Egypt, I moved to England for my post graduate training. I spent most of my time as a junior doctor in the Midlands. Working in Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Stoke-on-Trent, Walsall and back again to Birmingham to work as a Lecturer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Birmingham Women’s Hospital. During that time I became a member then a fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists in London. I was also awarded the degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Keele University in Staffordshire. In 1997 I then became an NHS Consultant at Sandwell Hospital in West Bromwich. At the present time I provides my NHS services at City Hospital in Birmingham as well.

I see patients with a variety of gynaecological complaints and conditions and have a wide and varied experience in all aspects of benign gynaecology and gynaecological surgery.

Recently I have made established links with IREMA a fertility clinic in Spain (near Alicante). One of the main groups of women who benefit from being referred to IREMA is women who need Egg Donation as a treatment for their difficulty in conceiving. The waiting time to find a suitable matched donor through IREMA is drastically reduced from UK waiting times to a little as a few days.
