BSc Physiotherapy
"Spire Little Aston Hospital is a supportive and welcoming place to work. I feel challenged and encouraged everyday."
I qualified as a Physiotherapist from Keele University in 2016 and have since gained experience working in a number of clinical settings. I completed a year of NHS rotations which included Acute Medicine/Intensive care, General Surgery/Orthopaedics and Elderly care. This role has provided me with a solid foundation in managing immediate post-operative patients and acute medical patients.
I have spent the last two years working at Spire Little Aston Hospital. My role has involved me managing immediate post-operative patients in a ward setting and then reviewing them following hospital discharge in our Physiotherapy Outpatients Department for their ongoing rehabilitation. I also assess and treat non-surgical patients in this outpatients setting who present with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions including sports injuries.
I have a specific interest in managing general orthopaedic patients who have had upper and lower limb surgeries.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Ms Lauren Manning at Spire include:
