I am a Consultant Urological Surgeon with over 20 years’ specialist experience in prostate cancer diagnosis, treatment
and follow-up. My main area of expertise is robotic radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer. I also have extensive
experience in prostate cancer diagnostics, active surveillance and helping men understand their treatment options so
they can make informed decisions about their care.
I specialise in prostate cancer care, including prostate cancer diagnosis, MRI-led assessment, prostate biopsy, active
surveillance, robotic radical prostatectomy and follow-up after treatment. I also see men with raised PSA levels,
abnormal prostate MRI scans, suspected prostate cancer, and benign urinary symptoms.
To date, I have performed more than 1,000 robotic radical prostatectomy procedures for prostate cancer. I have been
performing robotic prostate cancer surgery since 2007 and have extensive experience in managing complex prostate
cancer cases across both NHS and private practice.
Alongside my clinical practice, I hold regional and national roles focused on improving the quality, safety and
consistency of prostate cancer care. I am Secondary Care Cancer Lead for the West Yorkshire and Harrogate Cancer
Alliance, where I support cancer pathway improvement, clinical engagement and service innovation across NHS
providers.
I also contribute to national prostate cancer research through leadership and steering roles in major clinical trials,
including STAMPEDE, FOLLOW UP, FINESSE and POINTER-PC. In addition, I am a NICE Clinical Advisor/Topic
Advisor for the national prostate cancer guideline update, supporting evidence-based recommendations for prostate
cancer care across the NHS.
I also work with industry partners to develop, evaluate and introduce the latest innovations in prostate cancer care,
including artificial intelligence to support prostate MRI diagnosis and improve cancer pathways.

Outside work, I enjoy sport and spending time outdoors. I particularly enjoy off-road cycling, which is a great way to
keep fit, explore the countryside and relax away from work.
