Specialises in
Virtual consultations:
I specialise in all aspects of hip and knee replacements and have extensive experience in complex and revision procedures.
I have been a consultant for 10 years and have extensive experience in all aspects of hip and knee replacements, including revision surgery. I started my consultant career at the Bradford Royal Infirmary and moved to Leeds, where I trained in 2015. This has given me the opportunity to further expand the services I provide to include more complex procedures.
To date, I have performed over 1,000 total hip and over 1,500 knee, including partial, replacements. I have also performed over 100 revision hip and over 150 revision knee replacements.
I work very closely with my anaesthetists and the physiotherapy team to ensure early mobilisation and enhanced recovery in all my joint replacement patients. I believe that this not only improves outcomes and results, but also reduces the risk of complications.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Veysi Veysi at Spire include:
Orthopaedics
Other treatments
Other procedures include:
Unicompartmental (partial) knee replacement: Procedure, benefits, risks and recovery
Mr Veysi Veysi, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, explains what a partial knee replacement procedure involves, what the risks and benefits of the surgery are and how physiotherapy will help aid recovery of the function of the knee.
COVID-19 testing or antibody tests are not available as a standalone service at Spire Leeds Hospital.
