Specialises in

I have been a Consultant Urological Surgeon for five years and I am an expert in the management of urinary tract stone disease (kidney, ureteric and bladder stones) and urinary symptoms due to an enlarged prostate. I have regional and national recognition for my expertise in laser prostate surgery (Greenlight laser).

My current work focuses on the clinical application and research of new technologies like UroLift, Rezum (steam therapy), i-TIND and prostate artery embolisation to help men with urinary symptoms. I also practice all aspects of general and diagnostic urology.

I practice all aspects of general and diagnostic urology with specific interest in urinary tract stone disease, the assessment and management of urinary symptoms due to enlarged prostate, minimally invasive surgical treatments for the prostate (Rezum, UroLift, i-TIND, PAE) and TURP.

I also specialise in laser prostate surgery and green light laser treatment.

I am the Trust lead for BPH services - leading service improvement and implementing national GIRFT guidance and helping regional work on pathways and services reconfiguration for patients needing surgery for urinary symptoms due to an enlarged prostate.

I am actively involved with regional collaboration and have a passion for simulation training and teaching.

I was awarded Prof K.R.K Gold Medal in Surgery at TN Dr MGR Medical University in 2005. A highlight of my training period was being awarded as Best Junior Doctor at Stepping Hill Hospital (2010). This was a reflection of my work ethic, professionalism and team working skills, something which I have continued to sustain and foster throughout my career.
