Specialises in
Virtual consultations:
I started my professional career as a consultant respiratory physician in November 1999 and took up a permanent consultant position at Airedale general hospital in November 2001. I brought in expertise in the areas of obstructive sleep apnoea, asthma and COPD and developed a sleep service in 2003.
I further developed my interest in investigation and management of lung cancer and became the lead for this in my Trust. I developed an interest in investigation and management of persistent cough, obesity, obesity hypoventilation syndrome and unexplained breathlessness.
I have a broad base of experience in all aspects of respiratory medicine including bronchiectasis, tuberculosis, interstitial lung disease, occupational lung disease such as occupational asthma and asbestosis. I have recently launched a service for diagnosis and management of sleep apnoea that doesn’t require clinic attendance and therefore has a wider geographical reach and advise on health and lifestyle choices and modifications that may lead to significant improvements in health.
I am committed to delivering a high quality of service and patient care, and I am up to date with all aspects of respiratory medicine with evidence of regular appraisals and revalidation.
