I have been in the field of Neurosurgery for over twenty years and have had the good fortune of training in three famous University teaching hospitals – AIIMS, New Delhi; Radcliffe Infirmary, Oxford and Imperial College London. I am part of a multi-disciplinary multi-specialty brain tumour team operating in a leading University teaching hospital. They have advanced imaging facilities including intra-operative scanning and stereotactic equipment, to help remove greater tumour volumes with less clinical risk. I run the Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) service in Imperial with specialist Neurology colleagues to help patients with Parkinson’s disease, tremor, dystonia, chronic headache. I also regularly assesses and operates on patients with back, leg, neck and arm pain (including carpal tunnel and ulnar nerve problems). I am an active clinical academic with ongoing research in both Neuro-oncology and DBS.
