I am a Consultant General Surgeon with a special interest in upper gastro-intestinal and weight loss surgery. My practice focuses on patient safety and helping my patients understand any treatment I offer them (medical or surgical). This ensures they end up choosing the option that suits them and become confident in the treatment they receive.

I have been a consultant in Luton and Dunstable University Hospital since 2016 where I perform weight loss surgery, gallbladder surgery and all types of hernias (including hiatus hernia). I also regularly perform endoscopy for the stomach (gastroscopy).

I completed my basic surgical training in South Wales before starting a research project for two years in Leicester. I was awarded an MD degree from the University of Leicester at the end of that research. I then started my higher surgical training in the East Midlands where I developed my general surgical experience and in particular the upper gastrointestinal surgery. This training helped me obtain the certificate of completion of training (CCT) as well as the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS). I then spent some time in Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton to develop my experience in weight loss surgery.
