I am a Consultant Gastroenterologist, helping patients with a wide range of digestive problems. These include indigestion, acid reflux, abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhoea, constipation and food intolerances. I have a specialist interest in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, colonoscopy and capsule endoscopy.
I specialise in the diagnosis and management of inflammatory bowel diseases, including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, as well as bowel cancer screening. I also have a particular interest in treating functional and autoimmune gastrointestinal conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), coeliac disease, dyspepsia, and gastro-oesophageal reflux disease. In addition, I offer expertise in managing rare and complex disorders including microscopic colitis and eosinophilic oesophagitis.
Over the years, I have performed more than 5,000 gastroscopies and over 5,000 colonoscopies and have reported more than 1,000 capsule endoscopies. I have extensive experience in colonoscopy and advanced polyp removal and have been accredited to perform bowel cancer screening colonoscopies since 2012. I am an expert in advanced complex polyp removal.
