I am an experienced clinician with a strong broad-based training in all aspects of general medical conditions, subspecialising in diabetes and endocrinology. After qualifying at the University of Leeds, I undertook my junior medical rotation in the Midlands before moving to London, and spent a large part of my senior training at St Mary’s Hospital, Imperial College as part of the North Thames specialty rotation. I was subsequently appointed as Consultant Physician/Endocrinologist at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS trust in February 2003.
My specialty practice covers all aspects of general endocrinology including the diagnostic work-up, investigation and management of thyroid, parathyroid, pituitary and adrenal disorders, polycystic ovarian syndrome, various metabolic disturbances including diabetes, dyslipidaemia and electrolyte imbalances.

As many other working parents, keeping a healthy work-life balance is not always easy, especially with the upbringing of two young teenagers. However, I have found that it can bring back other leisure opportunities which I thought were long gone as my children are growing up.
I am a keen screen viewer and also enjoy watching musical performances and theatre. I also like to keep fit and enjoy athletics such as running, aerobics, and swimming. I am a very good badminton player and have recently taken up golf.Back to top
