I am an experienced ophthalmologist with 26 years of post-training practice, including 21 years in the UK. I completed my specialist training at University Hospitals Aintree NHS Foundation Trust in Liverpool and at Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
I have extensive expertise in complex cataract surgery, with several thousand procedures performed, all continuously audited. My most recent audit of toric intraocular lens implantation for astigmatism correction demonstrated outcomes comparable to those achieved in leading eye centres across the UK.
I am highly experienced in the use of premium and specialist intraocular lenses, including toric and multifocal implants, tailored to individual patient needs, with consistently excellent and reproducible audited results.
I specialise in all retina diseases, cataract surgery with different implants including premium implants (multifocal), general ophthalmology such as dry eyes, glaucoma patients, neuro-ophthalmology patients (eye problems connected to the brain and the nerves of the eyes), refractive lens exchange with multifocal implants (people who don’t want to wear glasses), small lumps on the eyelids and YAG laser procedures.
My recent appraisal included audits of intravitreal injections and laser procedures, both demonstrating a 0% complication rate. In addition, I have broad expertise in medical retina, general ophthalmology, and laser treatments.
My clinical experience encompasses a wide range of conditions, including acute ophthalmic presentations, non-surgical glaucoma, and neuro-ophthalmology.
I am currently a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Calderdale and Huddersfield Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where I have been practicing for the past 13 years.
