I studied medicine at Trinity College Oxford. I returned to Yorkshire after my ‘House Jobs’ to join the Leeds surgical rotation. I then joined the Yorkshire Orthopaedic rotation, gaining experience from a number of centres across West and North Yorkshire.
I then completed my spinal training with a fellowship in Sheffield. My spinal fellowship included a period on the Visiting Surgeon Program with Dr Daniel Riew and Dr Lawrence Lenke in St Louis, USA.
In 2009 I returned to Leeds as a Consultant Spinal Surgeon.
