Since February 2005 I have been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Calderdale and Huddersfield providing knee and hip replacement and revision hip surgery. I also participate in general elective orthopaedic work and I am on call for acute trauma.
I have also completed two specialist fellowships in lower limb Arthoplasty and I am on the teaching faculty (Leeds Hip & Knee course for surgeons).
As of December 2015, on the National Joint Registry, 1,537 total hip replacement 325 revision hip replacements and 213 total knee replacements have been performed by me. My data is available to view on the National Joint Registry website. Additionally, my consultant level report is available online.
I am a member of the Court of Examiners of The Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) and for the Orthopaedic examination for the Colleges of Surgeons of London/Glasgow/Edinburgh and Dublin.
GMC 5 year revalidation December 2015 and compliant with Annual NHS appraisal.
