MBChB, MRCP, FRCR

Specialises in

I have been working as a Consultant in GI and Interventional Radiology since 2007. I deliver a comprehensive service in all fields of abdominal and oncology imaging. I am an expert in Liver imaging, abdominal hernia assessment, image guided biopsy and seroma aspiration (with sclerosant injection).

I am an expert in the investigations of patients with abdominal and GI symptoms including ultrasound, MRI and CT including CT colonoscopy. I also specialise in abdominal hernia assessment, image guided biopsy and seroma aspiration (with sclerosant injection). I work closely with Dr Sonwalker (Consultant Gastroenterologist) in the investigation of liver pathology and provide a comprehensive liver ultrasound and elastography (liver stiffness) assessment.

I am also interested in pelvic floor dysfunction and imaging of cancer patients. I am fully trained in endoscopic ultrasound and use this in the investigation of patients with refractory abdominal symptoms whose initial investigations have not determined a cause.

To date I have performed over 400 CT colonoscopies, 1,000 MRI studies and 250 endoscopic ultrasounds per year. I undertake a weekly abdominal ultrasound list, liver elastography and ultrasound assessment and report CT and MRI scans.

Prior to this I worked in medicine (1995-2000 passing the MRCP exam) and then radiology training in Leeds (2000-2005). I have undertaken further training in GI/Oncology and Intervention at UCH London and Royal Adelaide Hospital.
