Professional profile

I have been a Registered Dietitian for over 30 years and have extensive experience in a number of fields. In the last 10 years I have focused on the fields of eating disorders, and separately sport/dance nutrition working with dancers and students from classical ballet, contemporary dance, Irish Dance and musical theatre, as well as circus performers. I have also had a substantial caseload of those with IBS and other medical conditions requiring dietetic support.

I advise those with conditions including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and other eating disorders, IBS, coeliac disease, other GI problems, oncology patients, endocrine patients and cardiac patients.

I am a visiting lecturer at Reading University, Trinity Laban Conservatoire and Roehampton University

I am on the medical advisory panel of IADMS and have written information sheets on Nutrition/Hydration for Dancers for both One Dance UK and IADMS. I am co-author of the Nutrition chapter in the IADMS Dancer Wellness book published 2017. I regularly present at the IADMS annual international conference.
