Our physiotherapists place a high priority on the assessment and diagnosis of your condition, and take the time to understand your situation at home and at work. Our physiotherapists work closely with consultants and GPs to ensure that you receive the best treatment and advice in order to help you return to normal fitness as soon as possible. Should your condition require further treatment the physiotherapy department can easily refer you for a scan or to a consultant.

Physio appointments are available by contacting the department directly or by referral through your GP or consultant.
GP referral is encouraged but not essential. You may simply call the physiotherapy department at Spire Clare Park Hospital on 01252 895 426 and we will arrange a clinical assessment for you. However, if you are claiming on your insurance, a GP referral is usually required.
Our services is open to all so if you are not insured then please contact us and we will be happy to provide you with a cost for treatment.
We work with all major medical insurance providers and most schemes now include physiotherapy as part of an outpatient allowance. However please check with your insurer.
When calling to make a physiotherapy appointment, please make sure you have the following information available:
Please allow one hour for your first appointment. A detailed history will be taken followed by a thorough assessment of your condition.
You will receive expert advice and treatment and will be given a personal recovery programme tailored to your individual needs. We will advise you on what you need to do to achieve your treatment goals and further treatments will be planned.
As well as manual therapy and acupuncture sessions our physiotherapists offer a range of structured group exercise programmes and classes aimed to support you in you recovery.

Nick Gallogly qualified as a Medical Mechanical Engineer from Dublin in 2004, which focused on the medical application of biomechanics. He then qualified from Salford University with honours in prosthetics and orthotics, which involved rotations at Nottingham City Hospital and the Robert Jones and Angus Hunt Hospital. In 2014, Mr Gallogly attained a master's degree in clinical biomechanics from Staffordshire University.
Mr Gallogly currently works as the Head of Service and Orthotic Clinical Lead at the Royal Berkshire Foundation Trust Hospital.
Along with supporting the physiotherapy team and orthopaedic consultants at Spire Clare Park, Mr Gallogly also provides support to Reading Football Club's Academy, GB Rowing and GB Hockey. His most recent appointment is as the official foot specialist to the London Irish rugby union club. This appointment involves the screening and management of lower limb injuries.
