Consultant Oncoplastic Breast and Melanoma Surgeon
MB BCh, FRCS, FRCS Glas , FRCS Gen
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Raouf Daoud at Spire include:
I have been a breast oncoplastic surgeon for over 16 years, managing all aspects for breast problems: benign disease, Family history, breast cancer and melanoma. I have provided this care through the support of the breast and melanoma multidisciplinary teams. Throughout those years I have managed hundreds of patients with breast cancer and melanoma. The results at their breast unit have shown a 10% better survival in breast cancer than the national average; a huge leap ahead for the unit. I have introduced and embraced the latest technology in treating breast cancer such as new reconstructive techniques using Acellular Dermal Matrix, fat transfer and intra-operative analysis of sentinel lymph node in breast cancer. Their Multidisciplinary team has always been well attributed to through peer review year after year.
Some of the procedures I specialises in: Benign breast disease. Breast cancer Breast cancer family history assessment Breast reduction in females Breast reduction in males Breast augmentation Breast uplift Melanoma Inguinal hernia repair Femoral hernia repair Umbilical hernia repair
I have treated over eighty new breast cancers a year, from diagnosis to treatment and recovery. I support my patients through the journey in “Moving On Programme”, answering their questions and concerns in a friendly informal atmosphere.
As the Chair of the Audit and effectiveness Committee, I lead this process in Frimley Park Hospital to ensure they learn from audit and implement change to improve patient care.
I teach in King’s Breast Reconstruction Course.
