I trained at Charing Cross & Westminster medical school, Intercalated BSc in History of Medicine at UCH. I completed my basic surgical training at Frimley Park Hospital, Specialist Registrar in the South West Thames region.
My initial training was in Laparoscopic and Upper GI surgery, spending 6 months in the oesophago-gastric unit at St Thoma's Hospital. I developed sub-specialty interest in colorectal surgery during 2 years of research at the Mattu unit in Guildford.
My last year of training was in Adelaide, Australia, working in a specialist colorectal unit, before taking up a consultant post at Frimley Park Hospital. My specialist interests are based around laparoscopic and colorectal surgery; further interests include pelvic floor disorders and faecal incontinence.
I have taught on laparoscopic courses at Frimley Park, Mattu Guildford and in Hamburg.
