I am a multi-award-winning consultant ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon in Guildford and Farnham who specialises in cataracts and glaucoma. I offer bespoke premium cataract surgery and refractive lens exchange at Spire Clare Park including monofocal, toric, multifocal, trifocal and extended depth of focus (EDOF) intraocular lenses (IOLs). I have 15 years of experience in ophthalmic surgery and have been twice ranked amongst the worlds top 100 surgeons.
To date I have performed over 10,000 cataract procedures and 5,000 laser eye procedures. My patient feedback (Google, NHS Choices, Doctify, Doctoralia, TopDoctors) all average > 4.8 out of 5.0 in all domains.
I have an extensive portfolio of research and academic work which is published in leading peer-reviewed journals. My research and surgical achievements have won many prizes, both nationally and internationally.
Notably, I was twice ranked amongst the world’s best ophthalmologists, both in 2018 and 2017. I won a national patient safety award (Health Service Journal, HSJ) in 2021.
I have a keen passion for education and have extensively published in ophthalmic surgery techniques and teaching tools. I am also employed by Health Education England as Training Programme Director and responsible for eye surgery training across Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

Personal profile
I live in Farnham with my wife and two children. I am an avid cyclist and can often be spotted around the lanes of Surrey and Hampshire. I have a passion for food, wine and coffee.... not many people know but I even have a qualification in Latte Art (pouring patterns/pictures with the milk in coffee). I recently conquered my fears for a 10,000 foot sky dive to raise money for St Luke's Cancer Centre, Guildford.
