I qualified as a physiotherapist in 1995 and initially worked at Frimley Park Hospital gaining a valuable breadth of knowledge in a range of specialities. I moved to Farnham Hospital in 2000 to lead the obstetric and gynaecological physiotherapy service and develop service provision across Surrey and Hampshire.
I obtained my postgraduate woman’s health qualification from Bradford University in 2002 and since then have been working as a Clinical Specialist in this field. I have over seventeen years’ experience in treating male and female patients with continence and other pelvic floor issues.
I am a full member of the special interest group of pelvic, obstetrics and gynaecology physiotherapists (POGP).
I also specialise in treating musculoskeletal problems relating to pregnancy and in the post-natal period; such as pelvic girdle pain and divarication of rectus.
Throughout my career I have continued to develop and maintain my musculoskeletal skills through regular continued professional development and maintaining a busy musculoskeletal caseload alongside my woman’s health specialty. I also have a particular interest in treating paediatric patients.
I am a qualified member of the Acupuncture Association of Physiotherapists. I incorporate acupuncture into various patient treatment plans.
