Professional profile

I am an experienced Consultant Paediatrician currently working at Basingstoke and North Hampshire NHS Foundation Trust. I provide expert care for a wide range of paediatric problems at Spire Southampton Hospital and have specific expertise in respiratory paediatrics, allergy, neonatology and rheumatology.

Since qualifying in 1995, I have acquired specialist skills across various aspects of paediatrics. During my extensive training I have worked at various tertiary hospitals in the UK and Australia. I spent two years in Australia where I transported critically ill babies with the Flying Doctor Service. My broad based training has allowed me the opportunity to acquire specialist skills to manage a wide variety of paediatric illnesses.

My paediatric experience has been complimented by the publication of various articles and research projects in peer reviewed journals. Since my consultant appointment at the Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital NHS Foundation Trust I have helped to develop respiratory and neonatal services in the Trust. I have influenced strategy through my leadership and management roles over the years to improve patient care and experience.

My consultations are child-centred and friendly. Clinic appointments are arranged to suit the parent and child. I aim to provide a high-quality personalised and family friendly service which is child focused.
