I qualified from St Bartholomew’s and Royal London Hospital School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1998. I completed my basic surgical training at Royal Surrey County Hospital and MRCS examinations in 2002. I subsequently obtained and completed my Specialist Registrar training in Clinical Radiology in 2007. My SW Thames Radiology rotation include experience at the St George's Hospital, Atkinson and Morely Neurosurgical Unit, Royal Marsden Hospital and Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. During this time I underwent focused individualised interventional radiology training at the HPB Unit at King’s Hospital London. After obtaining the fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologist I successfully completed an interventional fellowship at St George’s Hospital and was awarded the Ratcliff Interventional Oncology Fellowship at UCH, London.
In 2010 I obtained a Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Consultant post at Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust which has recently been rated as one of the best healthcare trusts in the country and rated 'Excellent' by the Care Quality Commission.
Over the last five years I have been an integral member of the Regional Vascular Unit performing all types of complex aortic and peripheral interventions. Frimley Park Hospital is the regional vascular hub unit with supporting spoke hospitals at Basingstoke and Guildford. Recently I have been part of the development of thrombolysis services for acute deep vein thrombosis and renal denervation for resistant hypertension.
I am an active member of the Surrey Vascular Group which serves West Surrey, East Berkshire and North Hampshire as well as the British Society of Interventional Radiology, Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe and the recently established Regional Interventional Radiology On Call Network. I work closely with the Urology Department to offer all types of uro-interventional procedures including percutaneous nephrolithotomy and the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department to offer uterine fibroid embolisation in selected patients. Using the experience gained from the Ratcliff Interventional Oncology Fellowship I have developed a radio-frequency ablation service for the minimally invasive treatment of lung tumours.
I am experienced in all types of diagnostic imaging with a specialist interest in urology, vascular, gastro-intestinal and hepatobiliary imaging.
I am the Vice Chairman of the Clinical Effectiveness and Audit Committee at Frimley Park Hospital [and] Specialist Advisor to NICE.

He regularly contributes to the following national registries and trials BSIR BIAS Registry (Iliac angioplasty and stenting 2011 to date), National Vascular Database (EVAR and OR for AAA), IMPROVE Trial (rEVAR vs OR of AAA 2012 to date) and FEMME Trial (UFE vs Myomectomy 2013 to date).
