Professional profile

I was educated in Yorkshire before graduating in both Medicine (MBChB) and Dental Surgery (BDS) from the Universities of Leicester and Liverpool respectively. I Initially trained in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and was made a Fellow of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons at the Royal College of Surgeons (FFD RCS). I went on to complete my training in general surgery within designated accredited training posts in the UK. I successfully passed the Royal College examinations and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2000 (FRCSEd).

Later I went on to specialize in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery undertaking my Higher Surgical Training in the Southwest Region. I passed the Intercollegiate Speciality examination in Plastic Surgery in 2007 (FRCS(Plast.)) My Training in Plastic surgery includes extensive experience in Cosmetic Surgery and Reconstructive Microsurgery.

I gained his Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training, (CCST) and was entered onto the General Medical Council's, (GMCs), Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery in 2009 making me eligible to be appointed as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon.

I am a full member of British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) and the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS). I am on the GMCs specialist register for Plastic Surgery.

Further I was appointed as a Consultant in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Frenchay Hospital, Bristol in 2010 . Within the NHS I am the lead surgeon for soft tissue tumour surgery, particularly microsurgical reconstruction following cancer. I am also a specialist head and neck surgeon with expertise in oculoplastic surgery and facial palsy. I specialise in body contouring surgery following massive weight loss.

My Private Practice includes aesthetic surgery of the breast (breast augmentation, mastopexy, breast reduction), facial cosmetic surgery (rhinoplasty, eye bag removal, endoscopic brow lift, facelift) and body contouring surgery (abdominoplasty, liposuction, body lift, brachioplasty, lipofilling / fat transfer).
