I have been a Consultant Gynaecologist and an Endometriosis Specialist at Southmead Hospital, Bristol for five years, and I am a renowned expert in endometriosis and benign (non-cancerous) gynaecological conditions.
I co-lead the North Bristol (Southmead Hospital) Tertiary Endometriosis Centre (accredited by the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy) since 2020, where the outcomes of my surgical cases are audited regularly to maintain our Endometriosis Centre yearly accreditation.
I specialise in endometriosis excision surgery, menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, endometriosis related sub-fertility, gynaecological ultrasound, hysterectomy, fibroids, hysteroscopic surgery and in advanced minimally invasive laparoscopic (keyhole) and robotic pelvic surgery.
After completion of my specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, I completed a competitive entry advanced training (Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists accredited) fellowship in Endometriosis and Minimally Invasive Surgery in a nationally recognised BSGE Endometriosis Centre.
I have a keen interest in Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery (laparoscopic or keyhole surgery) and have been developing the Robotic Surgery Service at Southmead Hospital, Bristol.
My academic training includes having been a Clinical Lecturer in Reproductive Medicine at the University of Bristol and currently an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Bristol.
My research into Reproductive Medicine led to the attainment of an MD and several international publications. I continue to undertake research and am very active in training on a national level with the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy, the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and in Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery.
I am regularly invited to teach and present in national and international conferences to share my insights and expertise on topics related to endometriosis, advanced minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery and general gynaecological conditions.
My expertise combined with my interest in research and training, ensures I provide a personalised, evidence-based and the most up-to-date care to my patients.
