MD, FRCS
Specialises in
I am a Consultant in Breast and General Surgery, offering private consultations and treatment at Spire Yale Hospital, Spire Abergele Clinic and Spire Chesney Court. I specialise in the assessment and treatment of breast cancer, breast reconstruction and aesthetic breast surgery, alongside a broad range of general surgical procedures. My approach is centred on providing clear explanations, supportive care and treatment plans tailored to each patient’s individual needs and priorities.
I graduated from the University of Pécs in Hungary in 1995 with a medical degree and completed my postgraduate surgical training at the same university, qualifying in General Surgery and Breast Surgery (FRCS) in 2001. During my training, I developed a strong interest in breast and reconstructive surgery, which led me to undertake a 12‑month elective placement in plastic surgery at Hospital St Louis in Paris. Working under Professor Jean‑Marie Servant, this experience further shaped my expertise in oncoplastic, reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery.
Following this, I completed advanced training in plastic, reconstructive, aesthetic and breast surgery in 2002, allowing me to offer a comprehensive and balanced approach that combines cancer treatment with optimal functional and cosmetic outcomes. In 2006, I moved with my family to Wales, where I continue to work as a Consultant Surgeon at Glan Clwyd Hospital within Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, alongside my private practice.
I understand that conditions affecting the breast can be both physically and emotionally challenging. I place great importance on listening carefully to my patients, explaining diagnoses and treatment options in straightforward language and supporting them throughout every stage of their care. My aim is always to deliver safe, evidence‑based surgery while ensuring patients feel informed, reassured and involved in decisions about their treatment.
In addition to my clinical work, I am an Honorary Lecturer at Cardiff University, the Lead Clinician for Breast Cancer in North Wales and an accredited Breast Test Wales Screening Surgeon. I am actively involved in research, with publications in peer‑reviewed journals covering aesthetic and breast cancer surgery, and I act as a principal investigator in national and international clinical trials. I am also closely involved in medical education, leading a Foundation Programme and overseeing the training and development of junior doctors within the Health Board.
