I specialise in rheumatology with special interest in inflammatory arthritis including rheumatoid arthritis. I am competent in performing ultrasound scans of joints. I also have special interest in the management of osteoporosis (brittle bones) and assessment of bone density (DEXA) scans.
Other areas of interest include osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, gout, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, reactive arthritis, soft tissue problems, lupus and connective tissue diseases, vasculitis and polymyalgia rheumatica.
I am a principal investigator for relevant research studies.
I am the lead of undergraduate education in rheumatology.
I work for the GMC (General Medical Council) as an associate.
