I am a Consultant Gastroenterologist with over 25 years of experience in the diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal and liver diseases. I have been a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Wrexham Maelor Hospital since 2004, caring for patients with a wide range of digestive and liver conditions and providing evidence-based, patient-centred care.
I have extensive experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy, and have been performing these procedures for more than 30 years. My practice is focused on providing thorough assessment, accurate diagnosis and personalised treatment plans to help patients achieve the best possible outcomes.
My clinical interests include inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), coeliac disease, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), Barrett’s oesophagus, dyspepsia, peptic ulcer disease, liver disease, and the investigation of symptoms such as diarrhoea, constipation, changes in bowel habit and difficulty swallowing. I am also actively involved in bowel cancer screening and the assessment of patients with suspected gastrointestinal disease.
I understand that digestive health concerns can have a significant impact on quality of life. My approach is to provide clear explanations, compassionate support and treatment plans tailored to each individual's needs, ensuring patients feel informed and confident throughout their care.
