I offer comprehensive surgical care for patients with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, including both routine and highly complex cases. I have been the Lead Surgeon for Inflammatory Bowel Disease in Worcestershire since 2015, working closely with gastroenterologists and specialist nurses to provide coordinated, patient‑centred care.

My specialist interests also include the management of anal fistulas, haemorrhoid treatment, continent ileostomy (Kock pouch) surgery, complex redo and revisional bowel surgery.

In addition to my colorectal practice, I also perform a range of general surgical procedures, including hernia repair surgery.

This allows patients in Worcester to access both specialist colorectal care and common general surgical treatments from an experienced consultant.

I am currently the Clinical Director for Endoscopy at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, where I have led a number of important service improvement initiatives. These include the development of a nurse‑led pathway for suspected colorectal cancer referrals, significantly reducing waiting times to first investigation and improving patient access to timely diagnosis.

I completed my surgical training in London and Oxford, followed by specialist fellowships in inflammatory bowel disease surgery in Oxford and Toronto, Canada.

During my training, I undertook a research degree (MD) focusing on outcomes following ileo‑anal pouch surgery. I also played a key role in helping to establish the National Ileal Pouch Registry, contributing to improved understanding and long‑term outcomes for patients undergoing pouch surgery.

My approach combines minimally invasive surgical techniques, advanced reoperative expertise, evidence‑based decision‑making and strong multidisciplinary collaboration.
