I am a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon who specialises in laparoscopic (keyhole) and complex reoperative surgery.

I offer services for patients with Crohn’s and colitis and I also have an interest in the management of anal fistulas, haemorrhoids and continent ileostomy (Kock pouch) surgery.

I also perform general surgical procedures, such as hernia repairs.

I have been the lead surgeon for inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn’s disease and colitis) in Worcestershire since 2015.

I am currently the Clinical Director for Endoscopy at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and have led a number of service improvements, including a nurse-led service for suspected colorectal cancer referrals, which has resulted in a significant reduction in times to first investigation.

I completed my surgical training in London and Oxford, undertaking Fellowships in inflammatory bowel disease surgery in Oxford and Toronto. During my training I started a research degree, obtaining an MD, looking at outcomes after ileoanal pouch surgery and helped establish the National Ileal Pouch Registry.
