I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Worcester specialising in hip and knee surgery, with a high‑volume practice focused on joint replacement and lower limb reconstruction. I currently perform approximately 250 joint replacements each year, including primary and revision hip replacements, primary knee replacements and knee arthroscopy (keyhole knee surgery).
I also have a specialist interest in the surveillance of metal‑on‑metal hip implants and, within the NHS, I lead the monitoring programme for these implants across North Worcestershire, ensuring patient safety and long‑term implant performance.
I am committed to providing excellence in both clinical outcomes and overall patient care. During consultations, I take time to thoroughly discuss all potential treatment options, ensuring each patient is fully informed and able to choose the most appropriate, individualised solution for their condition, lifestyle and goals.
I completed my orthopaedic surgical training in the West Midlands, during which I developed specialist expertise in lower limb reconstruction. This included several years at the internationally recognised Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham, working alongside world‑renowned hip and knee surgeons and managing both routine and complex cases.
I also spent over a year at Selly Oak Hospital, gaining extensive experience in trauma and complex injury management, including the treatment of severely injured patients and members of the armed forces.
Alongside my busy clinical practice in Worcester, I am actively involved in medical education and research, contributing to the development of future orthopaedic surgeons and advancing best practice in joint replacement surgery.
My roles include Educational Supervisor for the West Midlands Deanery, organiser of national educational meetings on hip and knee replacement surgery and Royal College of Surgeons representative for Worcestershire.
These roles reflect my commitment to maintaining high standards, continuous improvement, and the delivery of evidence‑based orthopaedic care.
I provide modern, high‑quality care for patients with hip arthritis, knee arthritis, failed or painful hip replacements, complex revision hip surgery and knee injuries suitable for arthroscopy.
My aim is to help patients in Worcester relieve pain, restore mobility, and return to an active, fulfilling life through safe and effective orthopaedic surgery.
