I graduated from University College London, London University in 1993. During my time at UCL I also studied at the National Hospital Queen’s Square London and The Michael Palin Centre for Stammering Children. I have worked as a specialist advisor and therapist in paediatric voice and fluency in Kent and Canterbury. I developed my interest in stroke rehabilitation adult voice and fluency further at Birmingham Heartlands teaching Hospital. I have also worked in the paediatric team at South Warwickshire NHS trusts and language units.

With a special interest in professional voice I have also trained with the National Youth Theatre, studied at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art and worked with Cameron Mackintosh Productions on Tour and the Royal Shakespeare Company both in Stratford and London. I am delighted to have worked with the cast of Matilda the Musical.

I am the co-founder of Voice Camps Warwickshire providing vocal coaching for both the singing and speaking voice for children between 7-18 yrs of age and adults. I also provides bespoke Presentation Skills Training. Throughout the year I run Mindful Breathing classes using a “Calmness Breathing technique.” 

I offer Johansen individualised auditory stimulation, a music based intervention to both my paediatric and adult caseload. I am also a licensed trainer for ICAN children’s charity providing Talk Boost and Early Talk Boost training.

I am also a journalist, having worked at BBC(radio) and Sky News. I continue to write health related articles for magazines.

Social interaction difficulties, learning disability developmental delay and a range of conditions/ syndromes causing developmental delay auditory processing difficulties, listening difficulties. Selective mutism and social anxiety.

Adults: communication problems following neurological impairments and degenerative conditions, including stroke, head injury, Parkinson’s disease and dementia. Head, neck or throat cancer.
