Professional profile

Having practiced rheumatology for over 10 years I understand how problems with the muscles and joints can impact on every aspect of a person’s daily life and wellbeing, not just their physical health. I am passionate about treating the ‘whole person’ and offering a compassionate, personalised approach for every patient I see.

I qualified from University College London in 2003 and undertook higher specialist training locally within the West Midlands. As a Consultant Rheumatologist at South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust, I provide NHS clinics at Warwick and Stratford Upon Avon hospitals. Prior to this I held a rheumatology consultant post in Worcester.

My experience and knowledge in general rheumatology is broad, but I have a particular interest in inflammatory arthritides, such as rheumatoid arthritis and ultrasound in rheumatology. I am lead for Clinical Governance and dedicated in providing my patients with the highest standards of care with a compassionate, personalised approach.

Over and above my clinical work I am also Secretary to the Midland Rheumatology Society, Honorary Consultant at Birmingham Women and Children's Hospital and actively engaged in teaching the next generation of healthcare professionals.
