Dr Caroline Cardy
BMBCh BSc DPhil MRCP
I have provided care to Worcestershire rheumatology patients since 2012 working as a consultant rheumatologist for the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. I am an experienced general rheumatologist and greatly value the importance of early diagnosis and treatment.
I qualified from the University of Oxford Medical School in 2002. Prior to my medical training I completed a BSc in Genetics at the University of Nottingham and a PhD investigating molecular aspects of Marfan syndrome at the University of Oxford. I moved to the West Midlands for my rheumatology specialist training which I completed in 2012 before being appointed as a substantive consultant at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Dr Caroline Cardy at Spire include:

I was born and bred in Essex but now live in Worcestershire with my husband (a local consultant anaesthetist) and 2 children. Between shifts we value family time and enjoy the great outdoors with regular cycling and walking expeditions.
