I am a leading Rheumatologist in Worcester, with over 25 years of experience helping people manage and improve a wide range of bone, joint and connective tissue conditions.
My aim is to help patients feel better, stay active and enjoy a better quality of life through expert, compassionate care.
I specialise in the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis, arthritis, inflammatory joint conditions, connective tissue disorders and metabolic bone disease. I provide expert care for patients with conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, inflammatory arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, polymyalgia rheumatica, Sjögren’s syndrome, fibromyalgia and joint hypermobility syndrome.
I graduated from Birmingham Medical School in 1985, specialising in Rheumatology, and have since combined clinical practice with teaching, research and service leadership. I have extensive experience teaching undergraduate medical students and specialist trainees, and I have contributed to research studies in rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.
I am proud to serve as a Senior Academy Tutor at the University of Birmingham Medical School within the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust Undergraduate Academy, and I am also a Visiting Professor at the University of Worcester.
Alongside my clinical and academic work, I have played a key role in developing rheumatology services in Worcestershire. I previously served as Clinical Director of the Rheumatology Department at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient care and service delivery.
As an experienced Worcester rheumatology specialist, I take a patient‑centred approach, working closely with each individual to develop a personalised treatment plan tailored to their symptoms, lifestyle and goals.
If you are living with joint pain, arthritis or a bone condition in Worcester or the surrounding areas, you don’t have to manage it alone. Get in touch today to arrange a consultation and take the first step towards feeling better.
