Spire Murrayfield Hospital, Wirral, is pleased to be able to provide Rapid Access Breast Clinics led by consultant surgeons Mr David Berstock, Miss Anne Tansley and Mr Jonathan Lund. Spire Murrayfield Hospital's Rapid Access Breast Clinics aims to offer you the highest standard care by minimising your apprehension and providing expert breast assessment, investigations and a diagnosis. This is achieved with the coordinated support of a team of compassionate, highly experienced radiologists, pathologists and nurses. There are several Rapid Access Breast Clinics held each week in our relaxed, clean and friendly premises, it is designed to lead to a rapid and accurate diagnosis. What does it include?

An outpatient appointment to discuss you condition, receive a full clinical examination and discuss treatment options Breast imaging (mammography, ultrasound imaging) Fine needle aspiration cytology and ultrasound core biopsy pathology if required A follow up consultation to discuss your results


Who can use the clinic?

The Rapid Access Breast Clinic is open to all whether you have private medical insurance or not. If you are not covered by private medical insurance, one-off private treatment is available with a fixed price agreed in advance.


Do I need a referral?

Referrals can be made by your GP or any other medical practitioner.
