As well as being close to the M53, you can also reach us by taking the train to Birkenhead Hamilton Square station, which is a 15 minute taxi ride away. Liverpool John Lennon Airport is approximately 17 miles from the hospital.

By road from Liverpool (Wallasey Mersey tunnel)

After leaving the tunnel continue along Kingsway Road to the M53 South, exiting at Junction 3. Take the fourth exit signposted 'Upton/Heswall.' Continue along the dual carriageway, filtering into the left-hand lane, with the hospital signposted 'Murrayfield.' At the give-way sign, proceed left. At the mini roundabout carry straight on. After Basset Hound Public House on the left, take the first left into Holmwood Drive.

After leaving the tunnel, proceed on the A552 Borough Road to Singleton Avenue and continue along Woodchurch Road, signposted 'Upton/Heswall.' Continue along the dual carriageway, filtering into the left-hand lane, with the hospital signposted 'Murrayfield.' At the give-way sign, proceed left. At the mini roundabout carry straight on. After Basset Hound Public House on the left, take the first left into Holmwood Drive.

By road from Chester

Take the M53 northbound, exiting at Junction 3. Take the first exit from the roundabout signposted 'Upton/Heswall.' Continue along the dual carriageway, filtering into the left-hand lane, with the hospital signposted 'Murrayfield.' At the give-way sign, proceed left. At the mini roundabout carry straight on. After Basset Hound Public House on the left, take the first left into Holmwood Drive.

By road from Warrington

Take the M56 westbound. Exit the M56 at Junction 15, following signs for the M53 northbound. Exit the M53 at Junction 3. Take the first exit from the roundabout signposted 'Upton/Heswall.' Continue along the dual carriageway, filtering into the left-hand lane, with the hospital signposted 'Murrayfield.' At the give-way sign, proceed left. At the mini roundabout carry straight on. After Basset Hound Public House on the left, take the first left into Holmwood Drive.

By rail

The most convenient railway station is Birkenhead, Hamilton Square, where taxis are easily available for the rest of the journey (approximately 15 minutes).

By air

Liverpool John Lennon Airport is approximately 17 miles from the hospital. Taxis are easily available for the rest of the journey.
