I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in conditions affecting the shoulder and elbow. My clinical practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of shoulder and elbow injuries, including sports‑related injuries, frozen shoulder, rotator cuff tears, arthritis and fractures of the upper limb.
I offer a wide range of treatments including injection therapy, hydrodilatation, arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery, shoulder replacement surgery and fracture fixation. I also manage tendon, joint and nerve‑related conditions of the upper limb, tailoring treatment to each individual’s symptoms, lifestyle and goals.
I trained in medicine and orthopaedics in Liverpool before completing internationally recognised shoulder and elbow fellowships at Wrightington Hospital and the Royal Liverpool University Hospital. During this time, I developed a strong interest in arthroscopic surgery and shoulder replacement, gaining significant experience in performing computer‑navigated shoulder replacement procedures.
I was appointed as a Consultant at Wirral University Teaching Hospital in 2019, with a specific focus on shoulder and elbow trauma and shoulder replacement surgery. Prior to this, I worked as a Consultant at Aintree University Hospital, where I treated patients with major traumatic injuries of the upper and lower limbs, including complex shoulder and elbow fractures.
Alongside my clinical work, I am the Clinical Lead for Year 3 medical students from the University of Liverpool. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two young children, taking part in watersports and keeping fit.
