Mr Fernando Galli

I am a Consultant ENT and Thyroid Surgeon with more than 20 years of specialist experience in the diagnosis and treatment of ear, nose, throat, voice, swallowing and head and neck conditions. I provide private consultations at Spire Murrayfield Hospital Wirral and work as Clinical Lead and Head and Neck Cancer Lead at the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, where I also serve as the ENT GIRFT lead.

I offer expert assessment and treatment for common ENT symptoms such as nasal blockage, sinus problems, snoring, sleep related breathing issues, throat discomfort, voice changes, swallowing difficulties, hearing loss, ear infections, dizziness and balance disorders. I also provide rapid access assessment for neck lumps and suspected head and neck cancer, ensuring early diagnosis and prompt management.

My clinical practice includes the management of sinusitis, nasal polyps, deviated septum, allergic rhinitis, sore throat, chronic hoarseness, vocal cord disorders, reflux related throat symptoms, glue ear, ear wax problems, otitis externa, otitis media, vertigo, thyroid and parathyroid conditions, thyroid cancer, parotid and submandibular gland disease, salivary gland tumours and head and neck cancers.

I perform a wide range of ENT and head and neck procedures including functional endoscopic sinus surgery, septoplasty, microlaryngoscopy, panendoscopy, tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, thyroidectomy, parathyroidectomy, parotidectomy, submandibular gland excision, lymph node excision, grommet insertion, ear microsuction and surgery for nasal blockage and polyps.

In addition to my clinical work, I supervise junior doctors, act as an appraiser for consultant colleagues and am a member of the British Association of Endocrine and Thyroid Surgeons. I offer both face to face and remote consultations.
