I’m a Consultant ENT Surgeon with over 24 years’ experience, caring for both adults and children with a wide range of ear, nose and throat conditions. I see everything from hearing problems, tinnitus and dizziness to sinus issues, throat concerns, sleep-related breathing problems and neck lumps. I also carry out procedures such as ear surgery, grommet insertion and tympanoplasty, and have a particular interest in bone anchored hearing aids.
I take time to really listen and understand your concerns. Appointments are 40 minutes long, giving us the opportunity to carry out a thorough assessment and talk through everything in detail. If a nasendoscopy is needed, I’ll show you exactly what I’m seeing on screen so you can fully understand your diagnosis.
Patients often comment on the personal approach I offer, and how reassuring it is to have clear explanations and prompt communication. My secretary, Helen, who is also my wife, is available every working day to help with any queries, and we both prioritise getting back to patients quickly.
I was appointed as a Consultant in 2005 following specialist training across the North West, and now work exclusively in private practice. Alongside my clinical work, I’ve been involved in teaching and training, including my role as an Honorary Lecturer at Liverpool Medical School.
