I was appointed to Wirral NHS Trust as a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon after completing a National Laparoscopic Fellowship. I undertake procedures for benign anorectal conditions including fissure, fistulas and pilonidal sinus disease. I am also trained and undertake modern haemorrhoidal surgery including THD. I perform hernia surgery both open and laparoscopic.
I have developed an extensive practice in laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease and provide laparoscopic support for my gynaecology colleagues in surgery for endometriosis. I have an interest in functional bowel disorders as well as diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy including colonoscopy and gastroscopy.
