I’m a consultant cardiologist with over 40 years’ experience, caring for patients with a wide range of heart conditions. I see people with symptoms such as chest pain, breathlessness and palpitations, as well as long-term conditions including high blood pressure, heart rhythm problems and heart failure.
My focus is on providing clear advice and practical treatment options, helping you understand your condition and feel confident about your care. Whether you’re attending with new concerns or looking for ongoing management of an existing condition, I aim to offer reassurance and a personalised approach at every stage.
Over the course of my career, I’ve been closely involved in developing cardiology services locally, including establishing echocardiography services and supporting the introduction of cardiac catheterisation at district hospital level. These advances have played an important role in improving how we diagnose and treat heart conditions such as angina.
I’ve been consulting at Spire Murrayfield Hospital for more than 30 years and continue to provide comprehensive care across all aspects of general cardiology, including heart valve disease and echocardiography.
My aim is always to deliver experienced, thoughtful care tailored to each individual patient.
