I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years’ experience working in both clinical and clinical research roles. I qualified as a Clinical Psychologist at the University of Liverpool in 2004 and provide assessment and psychological therapy using evidence‑based approaches tailored to each individual.
A key area of my work is clinical health psychology, supporting people when emotional or psychological difficulties are linked to managing physical illness. I have extensive experience working in cancer care and regularly support people adjusting to a cancer diagnosis, coping with treatment, and managing distress, worry, and uncertainty. I am a member of the extended Breast Multidisciplinary Team at Spire Murrayfield Hospital, working closely with surgical, nursing, and oncology colleagues to provide joined‑up, compassionate care.
I also offer specialist trauma‑focused psychological therapy, including supporting people with the long‑term psychological effects of childhood trauma. Alongside this, I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, work‑related stress, burnout, life transitions, and women’s health‑related concerns.
In addition to my clinical work, I have been involved in research within clinical health psychology and have published in this field. At the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, I led the development of a new psychology service within Breast Services and was appointed Macmillan Principal Clinical Psychologist and Research Lead for a wider cancer psychology service.
I am HCPC‑registered, a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. My approach is supportive, collaborative, and focused on helping people feel understood, empowered, and able to move forward with confidence.
