Over the last year, staff at Spire Liverpool have been running a series of charity campaigns from a bonus ball competition to a Christmas jumper day.
Staff have now raised over £5,000 this year, which has gone to charities such as Save the Children, Zoe’s Place Hospice, Cancer Research UK, Jeans for Genes, KIND, Sports Relief and Macmillan Cancer Support.
The final fundraiser for the year was Spire’s Christmas Jumper Day where all non clinical staff took part, to raise money for Save the Children.
Angela Furlong, customer services advisor who organised the Christmas Jumper Day, said: “More than 50 staff took part in the Christmas jumper fundraising day and we saw some amazing Christmas jumpers being displayed by the fully committed staff, it was all a bit of fun but more importantly it helped us hit our target of raising £5,000 for charity this year.
"The money raised from the Christmas Jumper Day will go to Save the Children to support them in their work saving the lives of children across the globe.”
