Mr Harish Parmar
Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon
MB BS, FRCS (Ed & Eng), FRCS (Orth)
I qualified at London University and received my orthopaedic training as a registrar and lecturer in Leicester. Following this training, I was appointed senior registrar at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, in Stanmore. I was a senior lecturer and honorary consultant at Stanmore, before moving to East Hertfordshire.
I have a particular interest in hip replacement in younger patients. This is in keeping with my overall interest in the management of sports injury and early degenerative joint disease in athletes.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Harish Parmar at Spire include:
COVID-19 testing or antibody tests are not available as a standalone service at Spire Liverpool Hospital.
Retired from the post of Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, in 2018 after 22 years. Now exclusively in independent practice.
In addition to the usual orthopaedic attachments to rugby and cricket I have, for several years, played in bands. I also have a passing interest in wine, real ale.
