I have been a specialist Consultant Breast Surgeon at The Royal Liverpool University Hospital since 2006.

I qualified in 1992 at the Liverpool Medical School and completed my training in the Mersey Region until taking up specialist breast practice as a consultant surgeon. During my training I worked in Concord Hospital Sydney, Australia. I was later appointed to the National Oncoplastic Fellowship Training programme in 2004 and spent a year working in the Whiston NHS Plastics Unit and the Royal Liverpool University Hospital as the Breast Fellow working out of the Linda McCartney Breast Unit.

I have always had a strong interest in teaching and as the RCS Breast Tutor I am involved in organising a successful National Teaching Programme for surgeons and trainees.
