I am a Consultant in Sport and Exercise Medicine with extensive experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, from everyday injuries through to elite-level sport.
I work with patients of all activity levels, whether you’re a recreational runner or a professional athlete, helping to identify the cause of pain and create a clear, tailored plan for recovery. I provide non-surgical management of injuries, including joint and soft tissue injections, treatment for tendon problems and support with rehabilitation and injury prevention.
I also have particular expertise in sports-related concussion, as well as injuries affecting the shoulder, knee and ankle, especially in sports such as rugby, football and boxing.
Alongside my private practice, I have spent over 20 years working in elite sport, including roles with the Great Britain Cycling Team, England Rugby, Liverpool Football Club, British Gymnastics and the English Institute of Sport. This experience has shaped my understanding of high-performance environments and the importance of safe, effective return to activity.
In my NHS role, I lead a musculoskeletal assessment service and am actively involved in teaching and training within sport and exercise medicine at both regional and national level.
Outside of work, I enjoy music—particularly 80s ska and indie—and spending time with my family.
My aim is to provide clear advice, accurate diagnosis and effective treatment to help you move confidently again.
