All types of shoulder arthroscopic procedures including complex surgery & all types of shoulder joint arthroplasty & sports surgery.
I have practised as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon for the last 21 years. I trained in Merseyside and West Midlands. My specialist interest is in upper limb surgery with special expertise interest in shoulder sports surgery. I am the lead shoulder surgeon in my trust and do various complex procedures. I have successfully operated on many young patients to get the, back into their sporting activities.
I perform all arthroscopic shoulder procedures including decompression, acromio-clavicular joint, rotator cuff repair, instability, frozen shoulder, SLAP repair, superior capsular reconstruction and other complex arthroscopic procedures. In addition, I perform total shoulder replacement, reverse shoulder replacement, surface replacement, short stem replacement & other complex open shoulder procedures.
Over a span of 10 years I have performed over 1300 shoulder operations of varying complexities giving me a very wide experience. Most of these surgeries were arthroscopic surgeries to include decompressions, cuff repairs, biceps tenodesis, instability repair, capsular release for frozen shoulder and acromio-clavicular joint surgery. Several have been complex joint arthroplasties and other open procedures like Laterjet procedure, Pectorlis Major tendon repairs etc.
In addition to my clinical work I am the college tutors responsible to oversee all the junior doctors training and teaching. I am also a honorary senior lecturer in the University.

I love sport, in particular cricket and badminton. I play league level badminton. Though I do not play cricket anymore, I am an ardent follower of the sport. I have a dog and love taking him for long walks. In my spare time I do a bit of karaoke singing of bollywood songs with my friends.Back to top
