I am a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist. Originally from Northern Ireland, and now based in Leeds Children’s Hospital where I have a specialist interest in Dravet Syndrome, headache, and epilepsy.

I have completed my subspecialist paediatric neurology training in Leeds Children's Hospital and I am registered with the GMC with subspecialisation in paediatrics (neurology).

I have been a substantive Consultant Paediatric Neurologist in Leeds Children's Hospital and I am the governance and mortality lead.

I am Chair of the Child Headache Network Special Interest group of the British Paediatric Neurology Association.

I undertake complex headache clinics and offers greater occipital nerve injections for paediatric patients, this makes Leeds one of only two sites which can offer this in the United Kingdom, the other being Great Ormond Street I undertook the training to provide this service.

I also undertake NHS clinics in complex epilepsy, a subspecialist clinic in Dravet Syndrome and general neurology.

I specialise in headache management with specialist interest in migraines.

I have undertaken over 50 greater occipital nerve injections during training and receive referrals from throughout the UK for advice on complex migraine management.

Professional leadership

I am the chair of the child headache network of the British Paediatric Neurology Association and as such I am on the council of the British Paediatric Neurology Association.
I am the governance and mortality lead for paediatric neurosciences in Leeds Children's Hospital.

I am originally from Northern Ireland having moved to Leeds to complete sub-specialist Paediatric Neurology Grid training in 2019. I originally anticipated moving back to Northern Ireland after completing training but have now made my home in Yorkshire and in Leeds Children's Hospital.

I live with my wife (and private medical secretary) Lauren, son Henry and our young puppy, Jazz.

I am a keen runner, amateur chef, avid comic book reader and Disney nerd.
