Mr Viren Mishra

I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in foot and ankle surgery in Hull and East Yorkshire. I treat both routine and complex conditions affecting the foot and ankle, helping patients improve mobility, reduce pain and return to everyday activities with confidence.

I completed my basic surgical training in East Yorkshire before undertaking higher orthopaedic training in Oswestry and Manchester, where I developed my specialist interest in foot and ankle surgery. I further enhanced my expertise through a dedicated fellowship at Wrightington Orthopaedic Hospital. In 2007, I was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust.

Alongside my clinical practice, I am actively involved in research and have published articles on subjects including total ankle replacement and tendo Achilles surgery.

My practice covers all aspects of foot and ankle care, including both surgical and minimally invasive procedures. I regularly treat conditions such as chronic foot pain, sports injuries and complex foot deformities. This includes procedures such as bunion correction, flat foot reconstruction and neuroma treatment.

I also perform advanced ankle procedures including ankle arthroscopy, arthroscopic ankle fusion and total ankle replacement, as well as surgery for tendo Achilles problems. In addition to my specialist foot and ankle work, I undertake knee replacement surgery, including computer-assisted techniques designed to support surgical precision.
